aimless writing

She sat, gazing out the window as the world pasted her by. She had been so confused, about everything, life in general. He had left her broken, unchanged, but broken.... wondering if anything could be done to pick up the pieces. A lie, one incandescent lie, and their romance was entangled endlessly in a web of wonder and question. He had been the upmost gentleman prospect, as she saw him gliding in and out of the guests, pretending to mingle but only enough to grab her ultimate attention. Could this be? A man, one with an undying interest, but when all was said and done, he had layers to his personality that would soon complicate the relationship and give it a tainted feel.
She sat and watched the world pass by for more than an hour before her father came out to the barn to collect up the scattered pieces of her mind, just in time for dinner. She looks up, surprised at first, and then the tears began to fall, ever falling, leaving wet, red streaked trails down her face. "So this is love?" she asked her father quietly, not meeting his eyes, but walking slowly past him and into the modestly small and white washed house. Her dad stood quietly, worried about the daughter that he had slowly been losing to a man, whom had now ripped her shambled heart into pieces.
